**Day 347**

I attended a wake tonight for a family friend - he was the best man at my parent's wedding, and friends with my parents for over 40 years.  He was diagnosed with cancer just six months ago, and lost the battle a few days ago - he was 63 years old.  Very sad.  We went out to eat afterwards, and I was more than ready to do some emotional eating.  I shouldn't have, but I did.  I ordered potato soup, a tenderloin sandwich and fries. I
had less than half of the potato soup, and I took the bun off the tenderloin, and then ate about half of the tenderloin - the soup and tenderloin turned out to not be all that good, but if it had been I probably would've shoved it all down!  The fries were good, so I did eat more than half of them.  And I've only had 48 ounces of water, so not a great day for me.  I did manage to force myself to get on my treadmill when I got home.  My plan was to walk 20 minutes, but I pushed myself and did 30 minutes:
Tomorrow is a new day, and I will do much better with my eating.

  1. Emotional eating is something which is so difficult to control. I think considering that it was a Wake and you exercised afterwards, I think you should be pretty pleased.

  2. Hi, Tim! I am glad on hopped on my treadmill after eating bad. In the past, I would have skipped the treadmill thinking that the day was shot because of the bad eating, but I ended the day on a good note, which is something.
