**So Scary**

I was just reading the news online and came across this story about a man in my area dying of a heart attack.  This kind of thing scares the crap out of me.  This man doesn't even look overweight in his picture, but he died of a bad heart.  I'm morbidly obese, so I can't even imagine how bad a shape my heart must be in!  Anyway, I don't know this man, but my heart goes out to his family.  It's so sad.

  1. That is scary. It sounds to me like he likely had the kind of heart attack my dad was about to. My dad's heart was good per se, he just had plaque break off which caused no blockage to 99%! What made my dad so lucky, was that he had a minor heart attack before the main one was about to happen. Most do not get a warning one, and only 10% of people survive the big heart attack because the blockage. So very sad for his family : (

  2. That scares me too. I wonder how much damage I've done to my heart.

  3. Hi, Jen and Jacqui! I worry about my heart all the time! It's terrible, but I worry about dropping dead in front of my poor children. I really wish I could get my heart, completely, tested, and I don't mean with a stress test, and EKG's. I don't trust those because I have heard of so many people have perfect stress test and EKG's, and then they go and die of a heart attack!

  4. Lets not get paranoid over this poor man that died from his bad heart. I'm a firm believer that always thinking positive and not dwelling on the negative that surrouned us all. You haven't had any negative heart conditions todate. Your family history with heart conditions is pretty non extisting. More improtantly, you are now changing your life stye in the most positive way I've ever seen you take in many years. There no room for negative waves in your life, stay positive. Love you

  5. Now, Dad, I wouldn't be me if I wasn't paranoid about something on any given day!! But I'm working on not worrying so much, and having a more positive attitude in life. :) However, mom's dad had to have bypass surgery, and grandma died from a heart attack (when we didn't even know she had a bad heart), so there IS a family history, but, hopefully, by my losing this weight I can reverse any of the damage I might have done. Love you!
